As the whole trip was planned by me, this place was definitely part of the plan. And we both woke up later than my original plan as I kept procrastinating in the bed and went back to sleep even after the alarm rang. Right, it was lunch time so we quickly walked to Saeb Saeb Wanton Mee stall (Phetchaburi Soi 19, Pratunam, Bangkok) and thankfully we managed to find it, of course with some help too! There was a long queue but still, we managed to share a seat with someone else within 10 minutes.
We ordered 1 bowl of dry wanton mee, 1 bowl of wanton mee with soup and 1 plate of roasted pork rice. I would love the dry one more since the one with soup just tasted like the noodle. D. loved the chili there so he added quite alot on to the dry one. You may want to try adding chili to the dry one! And and, the roasted pork was really yummy and delicious as their gravy and meat was enough to die for. We wanted to go back for more but time was ticking fast so we didn't manage to head back for more on other days...
Mandatory shot in Bangkok whenever you're going to shop in Platinum Mall. I can't get enough of it, I wish that I'm still at Bangkok right now even when I'm typing.
D. loves this coffee so he introduced me to this at the basement shop of the newest Platinum mall. I don't remember what we had ordered but I could only recall we got this cup of coffee as their machine was down so we waited for so long only had to change for another kind...
As D. was wearing a cap, I thought I should get one too so yes, I got this cap from one of the small shop and there we were, snapping away to show we got a NEW cap!
We were looking for the old Platinum mall since we couldn't find the link to there on level 2 and we found this ice cream! Hahahah. Since the weather was hot there, so why not get ice cream with biscuit!?!
You got it right! We got another coffee from the same coffee store but at the old Platinum Mall.
After finding all the things I needed to get, we decided to head to A&W for lunch. I missed their food so much since I couldn't find any in SG. From there, we took a break and finally cabbed over to the next shopping paradise, Union Mall (Ladprao Soi 1, Chatuchak district, Bangkok).
Us, in the cab. Hahaha, he was really happy with his cap and shade (Ray Ban somemore, kekeke).
I wish I've known this place earlier in my 3 trips so that I could camp there most of the times and shop till I really drop. Seriously, there're many shops there and I couldn't take my eyes off their shelves most of the times...
D. wanted to eat the crepe there so yes, we got 1 and dammit, I really miss this crepe too (even now as I was typing).
After shopping (my luggage was filled to the brim with both D. and my shopping bags), we headed to the basement for some food. They practice the same way as Platinum Mall food court such as having to get a card and top up at our preferred amount and then use it to pay for our food. D. had a craving for green curry so we went to get this. Dayummm, it was really spicy and both of us got to drink from our lemon tea before it finally died off for quite sometimes.
We were pretty much done since we wanted to go back to our hotel first before going for massage. At one part of the Pratunam Market, we encountered someone push a cart and sell this Coconut Ice Cream. This one was good too as the seller added peanuts and milk to this ice cream!
I took this photo while waiting for food from roadside food stalls.
Hehehe, we shared different kind of food for the night such as Mango Sticky Rice, Basil Rice with Chicken and Seafood Phad Thai! They were really good okay... They were not as costly as the restaurant and their taste were pretty much the same. So why pay so much, when you could get the same quality of food?!
This time round, he followed me to Number One massage which was situated at Petchburi Soi 15. It cost us 250 bahts (~SGD 10) for full body massage and honestly speaking, this place was filled with professional masseurs as I was feeling refreshed and less stiffer than before! I was shocked when my masseur was putting more pressure and her elbow was stabbing my back sharper than before, that was where I turned my head to the right side only to see D. being stepped by his masseur. He loved it a lot that he wanted to go back to the same one the next day, no force he no like. Heheheh.
After that I was feeling a little hungry that I bought him to Kaiton Kao Mun Gai (Phetchaburi Soi 30, Pratunam, Opposite Berkeley Hotel) which their chicken rice was famous and yeah yeah, we only ordered one plate as we tried not to overeat at the late hour. The one in pink plate was jelly chicken blood. I guess now I'm sick of the taste now as the last time I tried, it didn't taste that bloody...
Well, these were our loots of the day and even till now, I was thinking why I am holding myself back from buying and enjoying splurging since I was in Thailand! I love spending...
I can't wait to talk about next day as we went for food hunting and we were getting sick of food after the next day. Hahahaha, just kidding. I still love eating...
