Day 0 / Day 1 - 12th November / 13th November 2014.
Before I start on my trip on Korea (Jeju Island/Seoul), I would like to credit
Willy/Momo for her effort on this trip because this trip was solely on her research and planning. Do visit her blog!
Basically Momo, Jane and I were too hardworking already that we went to work before Astee and Diana met us in MM.
(And thanks Daddy for fetching us to the airport!)
Don't forget about the most essential and important things to bring when travelling:
1-Passport. 2-Money. 3-YOURSELF equipped with a good pair of shoes to walk and run!
Met up with the other colleagues and thanks Emily for sending me and Joey off! Took Asiana Airlines to Korea for the first time in flight, destination and as well as the season. Everything was so new to me and eventually I don't/didn't regret taking this flight and of course going to Korea! I got to go to Korea again!
Having the window seat was the best thing ever as we got to see the sun rise. It was beautiful!
And I chanced upon the snow flakes on the window, the weather out there must be freezing!
After reaching Incheon International Airport, there's a Airport Railroad where we took to Gimpo Station to transit for a domestic flight in Gimpo Airport. The moment we went into the subway, IT WAS SO WARM/HOT even though we were just wearing a jacket/sweater and a t-shirt. You'll know what I mean when you travel between November till February!
Asiana Airlines' officer that was in-charge of checking our passport must be too stressed as there's 13 of us, he had to check thoroughly again and again. Of course some people from other countries can never understand that there's so many of us (DUH) so it took quite some time. Yeah, but come on, the boarding time stated 9.45am and yet we were still at the counter at 9.15am. Once everyone's cleared, we rushed over to catch it before we miss it. We made it!
When the plane was touching down soon enough and you saw this, you know you're in Jeju Island!
Thanks to Willy Momo for hiring driver Mr Han so that everything planned could be passed to the driver and they could drive us over. So we headed to the hotel first to place our baggages in their storage room as we could only check in after 3pm. At least we didn't have to wait till the check in time!
* Honestly speaking, I'd come back to this hotel again as it's clean and nearer to convenience stores.
The driver drove us to this awesome restaurant and the food was really delicious!!! Yes, if you have noticed that the table was so low and no chairs, this is really a traditional restaurant. We got to adapt to their culture, this is Korea! You would see there are like 11 side dishes, in historical drama you could see each kind of families' status difference. Over here, this could be for those who are richer and in higher status. However now in modern days, the Koreans are believed to be able to afford these dishes! I love these side dishes as they are light and not too heavy.
Forgot what this was called already. Couldn't even remember if it's even pork or chicken.
After our lunch, our next visit was to the O' Sulloc Tea Museum / Tea House / Innisfree!
A garden of tea leaves. Most of them are green tea leaves. So well organized and grown!
O'Sulloc cakes and ice-creams! I was so tempted to everything in menu that I wanted to get all each.
We got a green tea ice-cream, green tea cake roll and a black cake roll. So yummy and creamy!
After that, we headed to the Loveland. Well this' a restricted area honestly speaking.
WARNING!!!
For those without open-minded mindset and kids,
Please do not enter!!!
Tada, that's all for Loveland. There could be more but I only took these number of photos. After the trip, the driver drove us back to the hotel and told us to meet downstairs at 9am the next day. When we went to our room, this was how it looked out! I shared the queen sized bed with Willy Momo while Joey had her own bed. We took a break and soon after we headed out to the Lotte Mart for shopping plus dinner. There's a little stall where they sell noodles, fishcakes and other food! Tried jajangmyeon (Black soybean paste noodle), fishcakes sticks and a udon I think? Yum!
After all these, we started to go all out for our shopping in the Mart. Hehehe, not really all out but kind of enjoying the splurging process after the whole day out at non-shopping places. This is the shiokness I love when I earn my own money and I could spend on things I want for the moment. This is the process.
